STAFF

The Oklahoma Soybean Board is dedicated to serving Oklahoma soybean producers and acting as a valuable resource for the state’s agricultural producers.

Rick Reimer, Executive Director

Growing up in northeast Oklahoma, Rick Reimer farmed soybeans and wheat with his father. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Animal Science and minor in Agricultural Economics. He later earned his MBA from Oklahoma City University. Reimer has served as the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Soybean Check Off Board for over 20 years bringing it from Kansas and a shared exec, to Oklahoma oversight.  He transitioned the board from the Oklahoma Soybean Commission, at state agency, to the Oklahoma Soybean Board, a 501-C (3) non-profit corporation recognized by the United Soybean Board as the Qualified State Soybean Board for Oklahoma. With increasing soybean growth across the state, the Board has taken on new research partnerships with OSU, taken the lead in Oklahoma on feral hog control by partnering with the Oklahoma State Wildlife Services, and provided thousands of dollars in scholarships and partnerships to further the animal agriculture industry and youth education opportunities.

Reimer also serves on the OSU Ferguson College of Agriculture Alumni Board and is a member of Oklahoma Agriculture Leadership Program Class V.

Ginger Reimer, Education and Promotional Director

Ginger Reimer serves as the Consumer and Industry Coordinator for the marketing, promotion and education activities of the board. After 17 years in the classroom she created the education initiatives to fulfill the board’s desire to see Oklahoma’s youth more knowledgeable about their food, fiber, fuel and feed, in addition to the role that soybeans play in those products. With the new teacher workshops that began in 2018 they have educated over 300 teachers who have impacted over 19,000 students. They have created a Virtual Reality program and have 30 headsets with which students and consumers can be virtually transported to view on-the-farm and in-the-barn activities. Reimer serves on the Ag in the Classroom Advisory Board and is a member Oklahoma Agriculture Leadership Program Class XVI.  She received the Oklahoma State University Master Agronomist Award for her contribution to educating others.
